Well, I said I was going to go ahead and do a blog about a week ago and at that point i wasn't entirely sure whether I actually wanted to do one or not, but here goes my failing attempt to introduce you to a portion of what goes on in my life and recent happenings. I don't know whether I will do another blog at any point in time, but I will sure keep it in mind, expecially if something major happens in my life.
So now on with my life, well I am currently spending a lot of my spare time doing school work as recently I have fallen behind with work, through no fault of my own which i will go on to explain in just a moment, and have had a whole load of homework tasks to complete, but I suppose i can't really complain as i chose to stay in full time education. This work has taken a lot of time out of my day, everyday which means i can't play games with my team, (vence, wiij, rad, Killswitch on the weekends, and the occasional few other people who care to join in) as much as i would like to, but i think keeping up with my work is more important that playing video games, as it is my education that will give me a good career and life in general, and not video games - unless i become a pro, which is very unlikely haha- so i am trying to stick in as much as i can.
Back to what i was saying about being behind with work not being my fault... basically i was asked by one of my teachers, along with a group of about 15 other people, to take part in a competition/ challenge, which i obviously thought, hmmmm a couple of days out of school can't be that bad, can it? This competition involved investigating land in all sorts of ways, like looking at geological maps and such, in order to find land that we thought contained either oil or gas, we then had to drill the land in order to find if there actually was anything down there... fair to say i didn't know much about geology, so it was basically guess work between my team. The objective of the simulation was to get as high a return on your initial investment as you possibly could, and well our luck in choosing drilling grounds had paid off and we annihalated every other team we were facing, i think there was about 19 others. My team ended up with a return on investment of around 4516% and finishing with around $9.7 billion. We thought we had a chance of going to the national event down in London but were narrowly beaten by another team in a different region, making my team the second best out of the whole of Scotland, which i think is a pretty great achievement. And dont worry Grey, another Scotsman wont be in charge of your oil or gas from either region for another few years yet
.
Well i think that will do me for my first ever blog. If you want to know more about happenings in my life, or just me in general just say and i will try include something in my next blog (if i do one) to help you get to know me better. Other than what ive already told you about recent happenings i dont really know what else to say. Sorry it isnt as humorous as many other blogs, mainly Greys in which i always receive a special mention of some sort, but i just wanted to get the ball rolling with a blog and develop it from there and try make each one a little more humorous than the last.
On a little sidenote, im sure you have already heard about Zilla's return but if not, he will return for R&R on December 21st and will return to action on January 3rd, whilst he is at home he will put on a stream but there are no confirmed dates as of yet so keep checking these forums and our community facebook page, if you haven't already *liked* the page go ahead and do so www.facebook.com/aXsCommunity .
P.S I had an urge to keep on writing in slang/ internet talk so be lucky it is all in plain English haha. If you ask for it, I may do a special blog for you guys written in as much Scottish dialect as I can, but only if there is enough of a request as google doesn't have a translate option for Scottish, the iPhone doesn't even recognise a Scottish voice, thats how bad it is. Anyway i hope you all enjoyed reading this and thanks for taking time to read it :)
