I've been recently thinking of investing in a new controller just for shooters and a lot of people have mentioned the Razer Onza. Is anyone thinking of getting one? It looks pretty cool

Now that it is common knowledge that the Onza's are accepted by MLG for tournament play most of the pro players are using them for FPS. I know Crream and Uli were looking to get them a while ago.

CONTROLLER TESTED IN CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS.

After playing for a couple hours in total now I can say that you have to get used to the MFB's (multifunctional buttons) or it's a waste of money. You can adjust the resistance of each stick but it doesn't improve my play style at all. The buttons are cool, they are really easy to press and it clicks like if you're clicking on a mouse. The D-Pad is also pretty cool, definetly worth for Beat 'Em Up players because it's not round like on the standard controller, every button is separately on it.. Adjusting the MFB's are simple: just hit one of the buttons on the back + the button you want and there you go. The cable is really long, I think it's like 15ft or something and the sticks have more grip than the standard Xbox controller resulting in a better aim than usual because you don't slip that easy.

The biggest problem with the Onza is, if you're using the Tritton AX Pro you CAN NOT connect the mic cable with the controller because the mic jack has 2 plastic thingies next to it, making it impossible to use since the Onza does not have the 2 slots for it. I had to buy a 3.5mm jack plug -> 2.5mm jack socket to use my Turtle Beach PX21 cable. Don't know about the Tritton AX 720 or any other Tritton headsets.

In conclusion: It gives you only a slight advantage over other gamers but it doesn't make the standard controller look bad at all but it feels better, you have more grip. I paid 60 Euros for it (Tournament Edition) and I would say it's a little bit overpriced for it. 50 Euros would've been perfect for it but whatever.

 I picked up one a few weeks ago and its finally starting to loosen up and break in. The thing that sold me was the adjustable tension on the stinks. Being able to tune that in with the sensitivity gives you allot more options to tweak and the colored buttons feel more like mouse clicks and allot more solid feel. Duel programmable bumper buttons, rubber coating and more responsive R/L trigger buttons is great.. I was using an old wireless controller but quickly forgot about the fact I was now tethered to the xbox. MLG mandates all controllers be wired controllers. Also I found it for $39.99, missed priced and changed right away after I checked out :pirate:

Love the feel, button sensitivity, and adjustable stick tension, but the quality isnt there. Ive went through 3 controllers in a years time. Audio port issue and two started walking on me. Get the 2yr warranty! Best Buy, with warranty, they exchange them no questions asked.
